Socialist MP Erion Braçe, who has been raising the alarm for days regarding online platforms that are extorting hundreds of citizens by deceiving them into investing their money in them.
In a post on social media, Braçe has published photos of groups on "Telegram", which include thousands of people. According to Braçe, to be part of these groups, citizens must pay an amount of 1000 euros, while to stay on the platform they must bring another individual.
As a result, millions of lek have been stolen from these citizens.
Through a video message, he called on all residents of Divjaka and Lushnja not to fall prey to these online pyramid schemes.
“FIRST GROUP-EG ALBANIA TEAM: 10,744 MEMBERS!!!!!!!
SECOND GROUP-EG19 AGENT GROUP: 447 MEMBERS!!!!!
Now do the calculations yourself with the two conditions;
First - to enter the platform, the minimum quota is €1000/$;
Second - to stay on the platform you have to bring a second person to it;
"IN THE MEANWHILE, WHOLE FAMILIES HAVE BEEN ENTERED INTO THE PYRAMID WITH SEVERAL CROWNS!!!!!! This is the size! THE VALUE IS IN MILLIONS OF EUROS ," writes Braçe, among other things.
TXEX presents itself as an app that offers "safe" investments in cryptocurrencies, but in fact it is a well-organized scam that exploits social networks and platforms like Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp to lure victims.
The scheme begins with enticing ads on Instagram and TikTok, where anonymous individuals posing as “market experts” or “financial mentors” create simulated investment groups. In these groups, users see fake reviews and fabricated profits, while being invited to initially invest small amounts in crypto through real platforms like Binance. The funds are then transferred to TXEX, where the real scam begins.
Within the app, the “earnings” seem to increase every day, but when citizens who have fallen prey to this “trap” ask to withdraw their money, they are asked to pay an additional fee. In reality, this is another way used to extort more money.
