The 79th protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Activist Sidorela Vatnikaj, at the 79th citizens' protest, stated that united Albanians can defeat the 36-year-old incriminated class.

"We are on the 79th day of the protest, after 3 wonderful days of the Diaspora joining the protest. Protests are taking place in dozens of cities across Albania, the Diaspora is holding a protest with a loud call against this corrupt and incriminated class. Today, a call gathers us in the square: "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison." This square has become the square of unity of Albanians inside and outside the borders so that the country is no longer governed by autocrats and incriminated deputies," she said.

Speaking about yesterday's incident at the protest, Vatnikaj asked the police to take action.

"Unidentified persons have raped several protesters during the march, another person has entered with a strong tool...for this and other similar incidents we invite you to ensure the conditions for the protest to be peaceful. The State Police to do their duty. Despite the continuous incidents staged and financed by the outgoing government, this square has spoken its word and shown that it believes in the unity of Albanians. And this square has shown that it believes in the peaceful civic revolt. We say to every incident that you cannot divide us because this is a fight for an Albania free from the model of violence ," she said.
