An elderly woman was brutally raped by her daughter-in-law in the city of Shkodra.

82-year-old Nazmie Buci was raped by the son's daughter-in-law, while the neighbors were the ones who found the elderly woman bleeding and then sent her to the hospital.

After the case was reported by JOQ, the Police detained the son's daughter-in-law, Elimira Buci.

"The Shkodër Police Station arrested the citizen EB, 43 years old, resident in Shkodër, after her 82-year-old mother-in-law reported that the 43-year-old woman had physically abused her. The 82-year-old woman is receiving treatment at the Shkodër Regional Hospital. (This case has been published in the media)", says the police announcement.

Elmira Buci allegedly raped her mother-in-law with a stick, while her son, Ylli Buci, kept her locked up at home.

The neighbors say that this is not the first time that the elderly woman has been raped, while her son did not react to protect his mother.

The serious event was made public by the residents of the area, who call on the authorities to take immediate measures to stop these cruel acts and to ensure justice for the elderly woman.
