The Special Court declared innocent Socialist MP Erion Braçe, who was sued for defamation by businessman Anduel Çekrezi.

During the hearing, lawyer Elis Bilali, while reading the final conclusions, stated that Anduel Çekrezi has regular property documents. According to him, the MP had made posts against Çekrezi that were, in essence, discriminatory in nature.

For his part, businessman Anduel Çekrezi said that for three years he has been unfairly labeled by a person who was also the deputy prime minister. He said that the problem was not the purchase of private land, but the refusal to invest in state land. Çekrezi emphasized that he is not seeking privilege, but justice.

Meanwhile, the courtroom also heard the position of MP Erion Braçe, who said that he has chosen to protect the public interest. He stated that he did not mention the businessman's name, but only his surname, and that he does not meet with businessmen due to conflicts of interest.

Braçe added that he received Anduel Çekrezi's brother on behalf of Prime Minister Edi Rama, presenting him with the law and asking him not to proceed further. He also said that he invited him to Divjaka, where according to him another zone for investments in a photovoltaic park has been created.
