The State Police and SPAK have undertaken an operation to arrest several people, employees of the Territorial Protection Inspectorate, suspected of corruption.
It is learned that two people have been arrested, while at least two others have been declared wanted.
The operation comes after the report made earlier to the police that these people received money from various businesses.
Earlier today, the police handcuffed the former chief inspector of the Territorial Protection Inspectorate (IMT) in the Municipality of Durrës, Ardian Halili, accused of illegal construction in a coastal area in the village of Shetaj i Ishmi.
The facility in question is a luxury resort, known as the "Saint Michelle Camping Hotel," which includes residential buildings, facilities with swimming pools, palm trees, and other service structures.
According to preliminary investigations, the complex is suspected to have been built without a permit in 2017, a period when Halili held public functions near the Municipality of Durrës.
