Albania has become part of an international operation against drug trafficking, from which 13 people have been arrested. The operation was carried out in our country, Italy and Germany. Of the 13 arrested, 3 of them were captured by the Operational Forces in the city of Vlora.

Ledian and Florjan Muho, as well as Landi Kalemaj, have fallen in handcuffs. So far it is known that drug trafficking was carried out in Italy and Germany.

"The operation, initiated by the Italian Police, took place simultaneously in Albania, Italy and Germany. Its finalization, the result of the excellent cooperation between the Criminal Police Department/Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the DPPSh, the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and the Office of the Italian Interforce in Albania.

Members of a criminal organization in Italy, for drug trafficking, are located in Vlora, and 3 citizens are arrested and imprisoned. During the international operation "Sammogia", in total, 13 citizens were arrested in Albania, Italy and Germany.

As a result of the very good partnership between the State Police and the Italian law enforcement agencies, made concrete by intensive exchange of information and consecutive joint operations, with the objective of capturing internationally wanted citizens, the Criminal Police Department/Directorate of the Special Operational Force in DPPSh, in cooperation with the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and the Office of the Italian Interforce in Albania, finalized the international coded operation "Sammogia".

During this operation developed in parallel in Albania, Italy and Germany, the citizens LK, 52 years old, FM, 38 years old and LM, 33 years old, were located in Vlora, captured and imprisoned. For these three citizens, the Court of Bologna has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out within the criminal organization.

"Interpol Tirana and counterparts in Italy continue to cooperate to carry out the extradition of these citizens to Italy," the police announced.
