One of the friends of Svetlana Timofoeva, the Russian arrested in Albania who is accused of espionage, says that she is not a spy.

Mikhail Kurylev confessed to Euronews Albania that he had sex with the Russian citizen in 2018 in Sevastopol, while they entered small bunkers in that area.

Calling her a friend, he underlines that Svetlana Timofoeva is not a spy, but passionate about exploring areas.

"Lana and I have known each other since 2018. We know each other on social networks, I also know her ex-boyfriend. We are friends. No, no she is not a spy because I know this girl from my Russian friends in Moscow. I know many of her friends who have the same passion, urban exploration, " he shared.

As for the car in which the 2 Russians and the Ukrainian traveled to Albania, Kurylev said that this vehicle is owned by the Ukrainian citizen.

When asked where the Russian gets the money to travel, her friend said that she gets money from the excursions she takes, mainly in Georgia.
