Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata" is the show that opened the new season on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theater. The operatic show came as a production directed by Hugo de Ana and will continue to perform for three more nights on stage.

She is Violeta, the woman who defied the norms of her time and dared to live her love to the end. She is the well-known character from Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata", which was brought to life on Friday evening by soprano Eva Golemi.

"I have played Violetta more than 70 times and it is one of my most beloved roles. But this production is actually very special to me because it is by the great director Hugo De Ana," soprano Eva Golemi said before the performance.

The performance marked the opening of the new season for the National Opera and Ballet Theater and came according to the vision of world-renowned director Hugo de Ana.

Under his artistic vision, Violeta's story comes to life through a monumental scenography and a visual language that transcends time, bringing this masterpiece to our days.

Alongside Eva Golem, who has performed the role of Violeta over 70 times on the most prestigious stages, inside and outside Albania, this character is performed by soprano Zuzana Markova, one of the most sought-after voices in the bel canto repertoire, and on September 28 by soprano Nina Muho.

This production, brought by the Zagreb Theatre, will be part of an extraordinary performance for the Albanian public, placing our Opera House on the same level as the prestigious theatres that have had the privilege of collaborating with the master Hugo de Ana.

"La Traviata", according to the calendar, will continue to be performed tonight and then TKOB will continue with a series of symphonic concerts, where we can mention the one with violinist Giuseppe Gibboni or the Beethoven concert with violinist Jonian Kadesha. As for ballet performances, the season opens with the 4th edition of the "International Dance Festival", where a tribute to the music of Ennio Morricone and the return of the magic of "The Nutcracker" stand out.
