Tomorrow, as Prime Minister Edi Rama announced, an action will be launched to seize dairy products without tax invoices on the market. The objective of the action is to combat tax evasion and guarantee food security.

Tax officials will verify whether the product is accompanied by a fiscal invoice at the time of purchase and whether an invoice is also issued for final consumers who are citizens.

The warning that no violation that jeopardizes food safety for citizens will be tolerated was given to businesses by Minister Denaj herself, together with the Minister of Finance, during an inspection.

For dairy and meat products, every business is required to have a purchase receipt to track the origin of the product and its quality.
