Received money for dismissal of the case, GJKKO sentences former prosecutor Sali Hasa to 3 years and 6 months in prison

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has sentenced the former prosecutor of Saranda, Sali Hasa, to 3 years and 6 months in prison. 

The former prosecutor of Saranda is accused that in exchange for money, he dismissed the case against Emiliano Mirani, who injured Edison Korkut. Sali Hasa received the money from Elsona Papa, who is the sister of Emiliano Mirani, and gave a bribe to the prosecutor to save his brother.

Sali Hasa started to be prosecuted in 2020. 11 million old lek and 2 thousand euros were found in his apartment.

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has also convicted:

- Emiliano Mirani with 2 years and 6 months in prison
- Elsona Papa, with 2 years in prison
- Napolon Hodaj, with 1 year and 3 months in prison
- Julian Zere with 1 year and 3 months in prison
- Markelian Alinani with 3 years and 6 months in prison
- Qerim Ruçi with 2 years and 6 months in prison
- Bledar Hajredini with 2 years in prison.
