The Special Court has upheld the "house arrest" measure for lawyer Petraq Semani, who is accused of taking a 25,000 euro bribe to influence the judges to lighten the sentence of one of those arrested for serious injury.
Seman's arrest warrant was executed 2 days ago (February 20). In today's decision of GJKKO, SPAK's request for questioning the lawyer was also accepted.
"The continuation of the implementation against the person under investigation Petraq Semani, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", provided by article 245/1, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code (before the amendments to the law no. 43/2021), of the measure of personal security "house arrest" provided by article 237 of the Criminal Code, determined by decision No. 15, dated 18.02.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime", announces GJKKO.
