Albanian doctor: A pig's heart is very similar to a human's!

Bedri Ramadani

The doctor, Bedri Ramadani , invited to Euronews spoke about the transplant of the pig's heart into the human.

He emphasized that the heart of a pig is similar to that of a human and that is the reason why it was chosen that the transplant should not be done with the heart of any other animal.

" Even age matters when a transplant is done, but it all depends on the state of health. A pig has a heart like a human. A pig's metabolism is similar to a human's, " he said.
