Meta takes the Supreme Court to the Constitutional Court, requests release from prison

Ilir Meta has appealed to the Constitutional Court the decision of the Supreme Court that left him in prison.

The leader of the PL, through lawyer Kujtim Cakrani, requests his release from prison at the Constitutional Court.

Meta is seeking the annulment of the Supreme Court's decision that left him in prison on February 27.

The former President of the Republic also requests the annulment of the previous decision, that of November 19, 2024, when the Appeals Court of Kosovo left him in prison.

Meta has been held in isolation in prison 313 in Tirana since November 21, 2024. The leader of the PL is being investigated for the CEZ/DIA affair, during the time when his LSI force co-governed with the Democratic Party, as well as for lobbying in Washington.
