Two employees of IKMT Tirana were arrested this afternoon by the police.

It is learned that they were arrested at their homes in the city of Tirana and were brought to the premises of the Berat Police Station, after the security measure "arrest in prison" that was given today by the court.

It is about citizens EB and AD, both IKMT inspectors, who are accused of "corruption" and "abuse of duty".

These two people were under criminal investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of Berat since 2021. From the investigations carried out with proactive methods, interceptions, observations, etc., it has resulted that the two employees of IKMT went for checks in many entities processing decorative stone tiles in Malin e Tomorr and in exchange for the monetary values ​​they received, they did not keep any record of the violations recorded by the stone companies in Tomorr.
