GJKKO left in force the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for the former mayor of the municipality of Kukes, Safet Gjici, accused of passive corruption and abuse of office.

In the courtroom, Gjici stated that he did not commit any criminal offense.

"There is no procedure started for tender or practice, I have not done anything. I was punished for that mistake I made, my family and society punished me. I received the punishment for that shameful act, I fell into a trap", Gjici is said to have said.
