A 30-year-old woman named Veriana Gega, resident in Berat, was arrested by the Tirana Police after being accused of "Fraud" and "Forgery of documents", committed in collaboration.

According to bluve, the investigation has shown that this citizen, through fraud, has benefited different monetary amounts, from different citizens in the Republic of Albania.

But the most flagrant case is the one when this citizen, through fraud and forged documents, has benefited the amount of 16000 euros from a Kosovar citizen, claiming that he would perform the procedures for obtaining an Albanian passport.

The police operation codenamed "Promise" is finalized.

The operation, conducted by the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana.

The 30-year-old was handcuffed for embezzling significant amounts of money, through fraud and forgery of documents.

Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Tirana, following the work to crack down on illegality, based on information obtained on the location of a citizen declared wanted , successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Promise". As part of this operation, the citizen was arrested and detained:

- VG, 30 years old, resident in Berat, for the criminal offenses "Fraud" and "Forgery of documents", committed in collaboration.

This citizen is suspected that through fraud and forged documents, she has benefited the amount of 16000 euros from a Kosovar citizen, claiming that she would perform the procedures for obtaining an Albanian passport.

Also, the investigation has shown that this citizen, through fraud, has benefited different monetary amounts from different citizens in the Republic of Albania.

Work continues to identify and apprehend the accomplices of the citizen VG

The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions.
