An action movie-like scheme rocked the Greek capital on Saturday night

A scheme similar to action movies shook the Greek capital on Saturday evening, leaving behind three victims, all of Albanian origin and all with criminal records in the field of narcotics.

A day after the serious event, the Greek media write that in the background of the bloody clashes with three dead and two injured policemen in Athens, the motive is to wash accounts for the sale of narcotics.

The "protagonist" and the one who started the armed fight is a 48-year-old man of Albanian origin, who died after the exchange of shots with the Police in Agios Anargyros. He was a passenger in a "Mercedes" type vehicle and a small member of a gang that was destroyed in May, while the person who died on Sunday morning was the leader of the gang.

It all started on Saturday evening, when members of two families from Albania met on "Kourtidou" street, in Kato Patisia, to clarify who is responsible for the relocation of the narcotics sales network. A "Mercedes" with a female driver and the 48-year-old man, an "Audi" with three people, a motorbike with one and one person on board and a "Polo" with three other people from two families arrived at the scene. When the gunman saw that the leader of the group was not alone, but was accompanied by other people, he took out his pistol and started shooting. A young man driving a motorcycle was seriously injured by the first shots.

The victim's father followed the motorcycle in an "Audi" type car, in which two other people were traveling. The father, always according to Police sources, shot the perpetrator of his son's injury, causing his death later. The passenger of the "Audi", who tried to run for protection, was hit and injured by a passing car. At the same time, the passenger of the "Mercedes", who had previously opened fire, left the car. Immediately after that, he stopped a passing driver and took his vehicle at gunpoint, a black "Toyota Yaris" and fled towards Agioi Anargyros. The police immediately started investigations and searches to find the fugitive from Patisia. Law enforcement found him in "Dimokratias" square, Agioi Anargyrou, where he committed a robbery in a bar. The suspect tried to flee on foot.

Then the man of Albanian origin shot at the police officers, injuring one in the leg, while the second received a bullet in the upper part of the shoulder. The police returned fire, fatally shooting the gunman. Meanwhile, the female driver of "Mercedes" was also arrested, also with a criminal record.

"Cruel criminal", as described by the Greek media, the Albanian killed by the Police

While the identities of the killed Albanians and those involved in the event are not yet known, only one of them has come to light. He is Andon Dhimitraq Tefi, 46 years old, the father of a child, while in the Greek state he was known as Antonis. The second victim is Armando Lamaj from Vlora, also known as Tefi and also arrested for narcotics. The Greek media write that Tefi was known by the authorities for his involvement in the network of drug dealers and that he had been a participant in criminal organizations for years. The author was married and has a daughter, while he officially stated that he ran a car paint shop. Tefi was considered one of the toughest criminals in Athens, active in various drug networks, always armed and ruthless. This was clearly seen in the way he first shot the man riding the motorcycle during the fight in Kato Patisia and coldly executed the father who got out of the car as soon as he saw his son being shot. After the fight on "Kourtidou" street, he stole a car at gunpoint and headed towards Agioi Anargyrou, where he tried to rob a gas station. It is even estimated that the Albanian bandit may have asked for the money to escape to Albania and avoid arrest.

"A CRUEL CRIMINAL"

The police, who had "blocked" the entire area between Kato Patisia and Agioi Anargyri, spotted the vehicle in which the Albanian, Andon Tefi, was riding and from that moment began the chase. Well trained and determined, they knew from the first moment that the perpetrator could open fire on them. They kept broadcasting this over the air, that this was a very vicious criminal, calling for immediate reinforcements. After the exchange of weapons, the attacker was surrounded, but shortly before being handcuffed, he shot one of the operatives, injuring him in the shoulder and hip. Fortunately, the bulletproof vest saved the young Greek Police officer, while his colleague opened fire again and knocked the Albanian to the ground, causing his death.

A woman's role in the gunfight that shook Athens

A woman also played an important role in the gunfight for laundering accounts related to drug trafficking. It is about a 43-year-old woman, the girlfriend of the 46-year-old man who was killed by the shooting of the police, while according to the Greek media, he resisted. It is learned that the woman fired a gun from the vehicle she was driving at the scene, injuring a 23-year-old man. Greek media reports that the female driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision with firearms has been arrested by the police.

" We were sitting outside and suddenly we heard gunshots. At first we thought it was fireworks. Then we realized what happened 50 meters away from us. We saw a police officer who was limping and another who had collapsed. We were afraid to get closer. Some said they tried to rob a store while the police were passing by and they ran into them ," says an eyewitness.
