The testimonies of two people arrested for the murder of Menduh Kurt-Deda in May 2017 have been clarified. Marjeta Karaj, denying having anything to do with the murder of the 61-year-old, said that she knew Kurt-Deda, but due to conflicts their relationship was disconnected.
Meanwhile, the 56-year-old woman did not prefer to give more detailed details regarding the conflict she had with the victim. Meanwhile, the other arrested, Gazmir Ngota, has shown the entire chronology of how the incident happened.
He explained that he was made aware of the debt that Kurt-Deda had to Marjeta, the mother of his friend, Besmir Karaj. Further, Ngota confessed that he was present from the moment when Kurt-Deda was taken by car to the area of Xhamllik.
They took him to Allias, to a parking lot near Besmir's house, and Marjeta also went there. After they asked him to return the debt, Kurt-Deda initially denied the return of the amount of 1 million new leks, but after being beaten by Besmiri, he asked them for time to return the debt. According to Ngota, at Marjeta's order, they took Kurt-Deda and took him to Dajt, where they tied him up and burned him.
In his testimony, Ngota says that he did not receive money from his friend Besmir Karaj for this action, but explained that he did it for company. The investigations were opened a year ago and the exhumation of the corpse was requested, in order to carry out the DNA once more.
