Prosecutor Adnan Xholi, who is competing for the head of SPAK to replace Arben Kraja, during the presentation of his candidacy before the KLP, appreciated the work done in these three years by this institution, but said that the time has come for him to take more steps great against crime and corruption at high levels.

He expressed that he thinks he meets all the criteria for this post, while he said that in order to face the public, SPAK will need to have concrete investigations in a quick time, based only on evidence.

He said that when he was the head of the Serious Crimes Prosecution, he investigated cases that had high public attention, while he said that as a prosecutor he interrogated high officials who had not previously seen the doors of justice.

" I am not in a conflict of interest with anyone. I am one of the candidates for the head of the SPAK, assessing that I meet the KLP criteria for this task, with the conviction that I have the appropriate professional and managerial skills to run the Special Prosecutor's Office. This prosecutor's office is already consolidated thanks to your work and the help of our international partners. It is the most professional body of prosecutors and I am proud to work with them.

But in addition to the excellent results, SPAK these three years, I think it is time for the body of prosecutors to continue with bigger steps against crime and corruption at high levels. In order to face the public, we will have to have concrete investigations in a quick time, based only on evidence. I come here today as a candidate who has over 24 years of experience in Prokuroi without interruption. My career has had a steady and consistent rise.

For 8 months I was the head of the Serious Crimes Prosecution. I happen to be the leader, but the prosecutor and the leader of the investigation group in the case in which two members of the Assembly were accused, investigations which have been closed for 17 days, have been called and asked higher officials of the state that they had never seen the doors of justice, from the prime minister, former prime minister and senior officials. I have engaged and requested the removal of the mandate of two incumbent deputies, and the Assembly decided to grant the authorization.

Another issue that has high attention, has been the murder of a senior official of the state police, and received innocence from the first degree. During the appeal trial phase, thanks to the animation that was done and on my part, it was possible to change the decision from not guilty to a guilty decision and the most severe punishment, life imprisonment.
