A car collided with the traffic divider this Saturday and as a result two people were injured.

The accident happened on the Korça-Pogradec axis, near the Tomb of the village of Pirg, just a few meters away from the intersection of this village.

According to the police, a 65-year-old man together with another person were traveling from Pogradec towards Korça when the vehicle went off the road and collided with a metal traffic divider.

The impact was so strong that the traffic divider entered the vehicle, causing multiple injuries to the driver of the Volkswagen vehicle, while the passenger received minor injuries.

It took the intervention of the fire service forces that made it possible to get the 65-year-old out of the vehicle. According to the police, the driver of the vehicle from speeding exceeded the allowed norms lost control of the vehicle causing a strong blow at the beginning of the traffic divider.

The police do not rule out the possibility of a drowsiness of the driver of the vehicle, just as they do not rule out the possibility of a health problem because at the time of the accident the driver of the vehicle did not perform the wrong maneuver.
