Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has again attacked the West over the war in Ukraine.
"They are trying to turn Moldova into a second Ukraine," Lavrov said in a televised interview, adding that weapons the West had sent to Ukraine had begun to be sold on the black market, including in Albania and Kosovo.
This is the first time that Russian officials mention Albanians, but their accusations are always full of fantasy and without facts.
Lavrov further said he hopes the West understands all the dangers associated with the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine.
"I really hope that in addition to politicians irresponsibly seeking to give Ukraine whatever it demands, there are still military people who understand what is at stake and understand the dangers associated with it." said Lavrov.
Regarding the frozen peace talks with Ukraine, the Russian chief diplomat said that Kiev itself has signed that it does not want negotiations with Russia, Greek media writes.
"We still do not understand what kind of guidance Zelensky receives from his teachers in Washington and London," he said.
Asked about Ukraine's bid to join the EU, Lavrov said: "I do not know if Ukraine will be given a roadmap to prepare for membership. "If this happens, then it means only one thing, that the EU is once again ready to close its eyes to all its criteria that have always existed for candidates and is ready to be guided only by geopolitical considerations."
