A serious incident was recorded in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Fresku area of ??Tirana, where a Traffic Police officer is suspected of having taken his own life.

The victim has been identified as Indrit Sinani, originally from Tropoja, who had been serving in the Tirana Traffic Police for about 8 years.

The news has shocked his family, colleagues and relatives. Sinan leaves behind his wife and his minor daughter, about 8 years old.

According to information so far, authorities are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Meanwhile, the funeral ceremony will take place on Monday, at 1:00 PM, at the Tufina cemetery.

On 14.06.2026, at around 01:25, in Fresk, in an apartment, it is suspected that citizen IS, 30 years old, a police officer, committed suicide with his service weapon.

The investigative group, in cooperation with the Police Supervision Agency and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the case.
