New details of the suspension from duty of two deputy commissioners from Elbasan Ulian Shpataraku and Sovjona Kapllanaj have been revealed.

Sources indicate that the two officers captured the citizen Endrit Filja, who was wanted, and then released him again. It is learned that Filja is accused of adapting the bar for drug use, article 285/ai of the criminal procedure code.

Deputy Commissioner Ulian Shpataraku was the Head of the Illegal Traffic and Narcotics Section, while Deputy Commissioner Sovjona Kapllanaj was a Specialist at the Illegal Traffic and Narcotics Section.

According to official sources, it is suspected that in abuse of duty, these police officers have not implemented the standard procedures for detaining a citizen wanted by the police. They have been suspended within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 1200, year 2022, of the Prosecution of the Elbasan Judicial District, followed by AMP Elbasan under the direction of this Prosecution.
