The Greek Archbishop of Albania Anastasios Janullatos expressed his condolences in a letter to Patriarch Kirill after the tragic massacre at a Moscow concert hall, where over 100 people lost their lives.
Known as the deadliest terror attack in two decades, the jihadist organization ISIS-K claimed responsibility.
In his message, Archbishop Anastas conveyed his "deep sympathy for Patriarch Kirill and the Russian people," sharing their grief and praying for comfort and strength during this difficult period.
"With deep sorrow, the clergy and the laymen of the Autocephaly Orthodox Church of Albania unite in deep sorrow after the horrific terrorist attack that resulted in the loss of dozens of lives and left many injured, among them children.
We pray with fervently that God will give eternal rest to the souls of the dead, quick healing to the injured and comfort to their grieving families.
We do not cease to pray for the ultimate victory of peace 'patient in adversity, faithful in prayer...'. (Romans 12:12). With sincere love in Christ our Savior," his letter to the Archbishop is written.
