Two people confronted each other today in Laprakë, and opposed the police forces as they tried to stop them.

The police say that the officers who stopped them noticed that one of them had a bag with an item suspected to be a pistol.

Additional help was immediately requested, and after the arrest of two people, it turned out that one is a policeman in Vlora.

The police say they are working on the full investigation of the incident.

Clarification of DVP Tirana:

On 24.09.2023, on "Lord Byron" street, in Laprakë, around 12:30, the services of the "Shqiponja" Special Force found two citizens arguing with each other, and one of them was carrying a bag , apparently with an object in the shape of a firearm.

The Police Services approached and asked the two citizens to identify themselves, but the two persons refused to answer, and verbally and physically opposed the Police officers.

In these circumstances, the Police services requested support and then accompanied them to the police station. After the verifications carried out, it turned out that the citizens are called LM, and RM, (the citizen RM is a police officer in DVP Vlora).

AMP is taking action to pursue this case further.
