After an investigation of several months by the SHKB and the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Tirana decided today the security measures for the 18 employees of the Fier prison.

Sources inform that all 18 employees have been placed under house arrest, as they are accused of the criminal offenses of document forgery and misuse of duties.

It is suspected that the prison employees have favored the convicts by giving them fictitious reports in order to reduce their sentences.

We remind you that in the investigative show Stop, about a week ago, the scandal in the prison of Fier was published, where the evidence of the penalty was cleared after the payment of an amount of 600 euros.

A citizen told the show that in 2012 he was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Taking advantage of the amnesty, he was released after 5 years of imprisonment. In 2022, he requested a criminal record, but was told that he has 3 years of uncompleted sentence. The citizen testifies that they asked him for an amount of 600 Euros to clear the evidence of the penalty he needs for work outside Albania.
