The residents of Selenica have also come out against the plan to merge this municipality as part of the new Territorial Reform, opposing the merger with Vlora.
According to them, such a decision will bring numerous difficulties for citizens, since even for the simplest document they will have to travel to the city of Vlora, where not every resident has the opportunity or has a vehicle to cope with these movements.
Residents say that a municipality with 47 villages and thousands of residents living in them cannot be erased from the map. They describe Selenica as a historic town, while warning that the municipality's departure will lead to an increase in the abandonment of the area.
One of the residents has also submitted his Socialist Party membership card, declaring that he will oppose the decision to merge the municipality.
" Here is the SP card, we will reject it ," the resident said, while demanding that the community's voice be taken into consideration.
