The Tirana court issued a press release clarifying the decision on the release from prison of Fatjon Murat, setting the measure from "prison arrest" to "house arrest", arrested for a weapons arsenal base in Tirana.
The court emphasizes that the final decision taken on January 16, 2023 for the release of Murat, none of the parties involved in the trial, has appealed.
Fatjon Murati is the owner of the bar where the serious incident took place on Sunday evening in "Don Bosko". In the assassination, the bartender Mimoza Paja was killed and 6 people were injured, among them a 10-year-old minor. The injured are Sahit Murati, Astrit Meraj, Emanuele Sala, Ermir Bejçuku and Genc Shohalli.
Fatjon Murat's security measure was changed in December 2022, two months after his arrest. He was arrested in October of last year, after the discovery of an arsenal of weapons in an apartment in the Farka area, together with citizen Kristjan Gjini.
