Little Amelia, the 6-year-old who was found dead on Monday afternoon on a beach in Kalamaki, Corinth, will be buried today in Albania. The father of a baby girl who tragically drowned at sea will not be present to say a final farewell to his child after being banned from leaving the country.

The 42-year-old spoke to Protothema.gr, a day after the decision of the prosecutor and the investigator to release him on the charge of endangering a minor. In his interview he emphasized that he would never harm his child as he adored him.

Yesterday, Amelia's father told the Star's main news bulletin through his lawyer that he had screamed when the little girl disappeared under the water, but could not be heard because of his asthma.
