Qemal Muhametaj is being escorted to his last home today, after his son took his life yesterday evening. The crime within the family shocked the village of Greshicë in Mallakastra. 37-year-old Mariglen Muhametaj killed his father, hitting him with hard objects.

He was arrested a few hours after the incident, while the police chased him.

The residents of the village are shocked by what happened, while they say that the 37-year-old was suffering from mental health problems. They say that the boy hit the 73-year-old man on the head with a concrete slab, while the latter was washing his feet.

"A mistake was made, the boy killed him. It wasn't good out of mind. He had fallen on a concrete slab. For nothing. For no reason at all, he had fallen. He was sorry, he didn't take her to Vlora. He was cured with medicines. "My mother is paralyzed," says the resident.

"The father had gone outside to wash his feet and this fell on his head. Without cause. He died on the spot. Chuni ran away and then they caught him", says another.
