"They were happy, they didn't even have children, nothing...", say the neighbors of the Ilia couple: their death is still a mystery

"They were happy, they didn't even have children, nothing...",

" They were a happy couple, they didn't even have children, they were for each other ", says a neighbor of the elderly couple, Kosta and Kleoniqi Ilia .

The couple, aged 84 and 88 , were found dead this Thursday morning in their house in the village of Bodrish in Dropulli, with many signs of violence on their bodies.

"They lived alone, they have no children. No one cared about them. The neighbor found them, because they called her from Athens, that she has a sister there and they didn't pick her up. And they told him to go and see how things are."

The resident says that no one heard any noise, although the spouses were found with numerous signs of violence, which according to the police are suspected to have been done with strong circumstantial means.  

"We didn't hear anything, not even those who were here, because I'm from the other side of the village," adds the woman.

She claims that there have been cases of theft in the village, however the last one she remembers was about 2 years ago.
