The Court of Appeals has set September 8th to review the request of former president Ilir Meta.

The leader of the Freedom Party has appealed the measure and is seeking to change the 'prison arrest' measure to another, more lenient measure.

Anila Hoxha reports that the trial will be held at 10:00 and Meta, against whom the investigations have been closed, is seeking freedom with the argument that he will not evade justice, there is no risk and also that being held in prison prevents him from engaging in politics and leading the Freedom Party.
