Discovered the plagiarism, Gjinushi requests the Spelling Conference in Kosovo:

The head of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, Skënder Gjinushi, has sent a letter to the Spelling Conference in Pristina and requested the exclusion of the linguist Ledi Shamku, where the latter was invited to the Linguistic Study Conference for Spelling.

This was announced by Ledi Shamku himself through a post on social networks, where he shows that Gjinushi has given an ultimatum to the Academy of Sciences of Kosovo, that without excluding him, he would not go.

"[…] a week ago they sent an ultimatum letter to the Academy of Kosovo asking them to exclude me from the work of the Conference. They even vetoed it: Ledi Shamku was coming, we are not coming. Exclude him from coming to us", the linguist writes, among other things.

Shamku further thanks the linguists of the Kosovo Academy, who, according to her, have stated that they would rather resign than fulfill Gjinushi's request. The latter had then participated in the conference, even though his request had not been fulfilled.

Shamku considered Gjinush a Soviet and compared him to Enver Hoxha, who, according to her, 50 years ago expelled many linguists from the Congress of Spelling.

We recall that for a long time there has been a fierce debate between Skënder Gjinushi and Ledi Shamku, after the latter revealed to the head of the Academy of Sciences that the speech he gave during the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Spelling Congress was a plagiarism taken from a writing sarcastic.

The reaction of linguist Ledi Shamku:

I TRIED THE SOVIET GINUSHI ON MY BACK!!! These two days I was in Pristina, at the Linguistic Study Conference on Spelling, organized by the Academy of Kosovo, with the participation of the Academism of Science.

Qe një konferencë e planifikuar qysh në verë. Kam marrë qysh heret ftesë personale nga kolegët e mij të Prishtinës, ftesë që më ka gëzu fort. Si albaniste e sociolinguiste, kjo është puna ime e përditshme e pasioni im i përjetshëm. Ndaj lumturisht pranova ftesën dhe qysh në korrik çova temën dhe abstraktin. Tema u pranua dhe qeshë pjesë e programit të punimeve. Si gjuhetare!

Kur mbërrita pardje në Prishtine, mes kolegësh atje, mësova çka po ju them, dhe po e them me përgjegjësi personale!

Sovjeti Gjinushi dhe Shkencizma e tij e Caruanas, para një jave i KISHIN DERGUAR NJE SHKRESË ULTIMATUM AKADEMISE SE KOSOVES KU I KERKONIN QE TE ME PERJASHTONIN MUA NGA PUNIMET E KONFERENCES. MADJE I KISHIN VENE VETON: PO ERDHI LEDI SHAMKU, NEVE NUK VIJME. PERJASHTONI ATE QE TE VIJME NE.

Të përjashtohet një gjuhëtare nga një konference gjuhesore qe te vije plagjatori i Caruanas?! Te perjashttohet nje sociolinguiste se ka biografi te keqe ngaqe e ka nxjerre Kryesarkazmen ashtu sic eshte: nje sovjet i pandreqshem?

Dhe qenkesh zhvilluar mbledhje me dy ore debat ne ASHAK, dhe i falenderoj me shpirt e zemer gjithe gjuhetaret e Akademise se Kosoves, te cilet kane deklaruar se me pare japin doreheqjen sesa t‘ia plotesojne kerkesen Gjinushit.

Konferenca zhvilloi me sukses punimet. Une referova e diskutova dhe lidhem marteveshje. Kryesarkazma erdhi pavaresisht vetos se tij qesharake sovjete.

Tash me degjo mire, Kryesarkazem! Sovjetizmes tende (jo ty, ti je pa lidhje me mu, s’ke qasje me mu), por sovjetizmes tende kam me i qendru përherë perballe si shqiptare! Perballe si përhere kam me qendru.  Dhe po ta bej publik ket gjestin tend te mbrame te neveritshem. Njelloj si para 50 vjetesh kur Enveri yt perjashtoi nga Kongresi i Drejtshkrimit shume kolege te mij ”me cen ne biografi”, plot 50 vjet me pas ti ngulmove te me perjashtoje mua nga ftesa e te tjereve, per hakmarrje te vogel personale. I kam shkresat qe ke derguar ne Prishtine dhe te te vije rende qe ke shkaktu shqetesim mes Tiranes dhe Prishtines.

You called me a bandit, but you know that a scientist, and even more so an Albanian woman, is proud when someone from the black sea calls her a bandit. You will never be able to interfere with the complete Albanian cooperation between Tirana and Prishtina. Hey, listen! Long live the free Albanology, freed from the Sovietism of Scientism, which I now experienced on my own.

THIS IS THE REFORM THAT A COMMUNIST HAS BRINGED TO THE ACADEMY. OF SCIENCES. I feel dirty! Long live the Sky of Albania! Kosovo, I have a mother in my soul
