In today's court hearing against Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe, who are being tried for the assassination of prosecutor Arjan Ndoja and Aleksandër Laho in 2019, Erigen Toska testified. He argued with Dervishaj in court.

Erigen Toska : I owned a vehicle, a gray Mercedes-Benz, in 2019. I had a copy of the keys for this vehicle. In September 2019, I parked the car in the evening under the apartment. The next day I went to the place where I had parked the vehicle and I couldn't find it there. Then I filed a report at Police Station No. 6 in Tirana. Two-three months later, the police called me and asked me about the car. I handed the key over to the police when the report was filed.

Plarent Dervishaj: Has the same prosecutor summoned you to another trial?

Toska: No, they didn't call me.

Dervishaj : How is it possible that this witness, so important, was not called in the trial of Ariol Halili and Redian Rraja? "That's all, sir. You are free, you can leave."

Ramazan Rraja, sentenced to 6 years in prison for his role in the assassination, also spoke at the trial. "In 2019, I was both in Albania and abroad, I don't remember exactly when. I was not employed before I was arrested. I had no conflict in Durrës or anywhere else. I know Plarent, I have Redian as a cousin, the others I don't. I have known them all in prison," he is quoted as saying.

"I had the same phone number from 2017 until the moment of arrest, make no mistake, and it is in my name. I know where the "Sodiak" bar is, I know the owner, but I have only been there once. I do not know Arjan Ndoi, Aleksandër Laho or Andi Maloku, I have only seen them on TV. I did not have encrypted applications. I do not know Ervin Matë, I do not know where the "Viktoria" hotel is. I am in prison because you put me in, I did not come with great desire. Honorable Mr. Prosecutor, with all due respect for justice and for you, I have no idea what I have done to secure conditions for anyone and anything. I have not communicated with anyone, nothing has happened to Genci Maloku, I do not know why you are accusing me."

SPAK: Are you aware that Genci Maloku's family members have come to your family?

Rraja: I know about this, but I saw on TV that they wanted to kill my family, but God willed that we sleep peacefully.

SPAK: Are you aware of a monetary obligation towards Plarent Dervishaj?

Rraja: To my knowledge, I don't owe anyone anything. We had coffee with Dervishaj and he paid for the coffee, but I have no other obligation to anyone.

Dervishaj: On November 1, when the assassination took place, can you tell us where you were?

Rraja: I was outside Albania, before and after the event.

Co-defendant Bashkim Haxhia: I don't want to give evidence.

Co-defendant Endrit Sinani: I don't want to give evidence.

Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe, if they give their consent, will be questioned in the next session.

Dervishaj: I applied for a passport and an identity card, and without these I cannot choose a lawyer. Today my lawyer is very tired, he feels exhausted from the questions he has asked.

Julian Meçe: I would like to answer the prosecutor. Since I arrived, they have not questioned me. I would like to speak, but what can I answer when they do not want to? It seems to me like a lack of desire to discover the truth. I do not consent to answer the questions of the prosecution.

At the end of the questions, it was decided to postpone the session until Plarent Dervishaj chooses another lawyer. The lawyer assigned primarily resigns from the defense, as according to him he has been prejudiced in this process.
