Ora News reveals the place of arrest of the assistant specialist in the Operational team Jeton Lami, who was arrested on the evening of August 23, 2022 in Tirana.

Lam's arrest was carried out in the office of the Operational Director, where Lam was called privately, according to his superiors, he had to clarify a work matter.

Lam went to the office of the General Directorate of the State Police, where, as he faced the bosses, they asked him in what period of time he had started working in the Operational Force.

On the other hand, the bosses informed him if he had ever been to Durres in the first days of August, and Lam is said to have replied that he had visited the city of Durres, accompanied by people close to him.

After that, the bosses again asked him if he had ever accompanied persons wanted by the police and the prosecutor's office, but Lami said that he had not done such a thing.

Even when he was asked if he had been hanging out with Ervis Martinaj, Lami again said that he had never done such a thing.

But in these moments, Lam has been asked to see a video, in which he saw himself in the premises of a hotel in Durrës, where he was hanging out with the businessman wanted by SPAK, Ervis Martinaj.

Ora News learns that after spending a few minutes together, Lam was left alone in the hotel premises, while according to the police, Martinaj left by car in the company of several other people.

This was the last moment when the silhouette of Ervis Martinaj was captured. And from this moment on the evening of August 7, 2022, there is no trace of Martinaj in Albania.

The family members have also lost contact with the businessman, who on the morning of August 9, 2022 addressed the Kurbin police station, filing a complaint about the disappearance and loss of contact with Vis Martinaj.

PROTECTION

As he became familiar with the content of the video, police officer Lami tried to defend himself, saying that he was in these premises by chance and did not know who the other person shown on the camera was.

His bosses of the Operational Directorate have communicated to Lam the decision of the court of Laçi, which had set the security measure "arrest in prison" for the police officer who is already accused of the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".

The operational employee was arrested in the office premises and after this moment, he did not give any additional evidence about the situation in question. It is expected that the next day at 11:00 a.m. I will appear before the court of Kurbin, where I will be recognized with the security measure "arrest in prison".

Meanwhile, the police have not yet come out with a statement that can clarify the mystery of whether Ervis Martinaj was taken hostage and killed or continues to be on the run.
