Izet Abazaj , the 19-year-old arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred at a business in the area, is believed to be the cause of the altercation.

He rented a vehicle from the Nexhipi brothers and did not return it.

For this reason, a conflict has also erupted between the brothers and police officer Alvaro Sulejmani, who came to the defense of 19-year-old Abazaj.

It turns out that shortly before the serious incident that occurred in the village of Gjashtë, where two brothers were injured with hard objects and gunfire was opened, 19-year-old Izet Abazaj, even though he was wanted by the police, was having dinner with police officers and their friends in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda.

A verbal conflict occurred outside the bar, specifically over Abazaj's use of the car, which is believed to be the origin of the fight that continued after midnight.

The police were notified of the argument near the bar and immediately arrived at the scene.

When the situation calmed down, the police noticed the presence of Izet Abazaj, who had been wanted since December 31, identified after a police operation as the perpetrator of a violent robbery.

Officers from the Saranda Police Station immediately detained the 19-year-old and escorted him to the police station.

During this time, their 4 colleagues, officers with the surname Sulejmani, along with their friends, moved towards the village of Gjashtë to "clarify" again what had been left in the middle, where the serious incident that caused the injury of two people with hard objects occurred, while an officer opened fire with a pistol.

"Eagle" forces, informed by the Operations Room, urgently headed back towards Gjashta, where thanks to the quick intervention, a possible murder was prevented, as the shooting continued even in the presence of the police.
