Money and jewelry were stolen from an apartment, a 36-year-old man was arrested!

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man, who is accused of colluding with his sister and brother to rob a house of money and jewelry.

The young man with the initials AH, a resident of Durrës, was arrested, while in September his two accomplices were also arrested, the 33-year-old sister with the initials EK, who worked as a cleaner in the wrong apartment, and the 42-year-old brother with the initials FH.

The 33-year-old woman is reported to have been employed as a cleaner at the apartment and is suspected of having obtained a copy of the door key. She then gave it to two brothers, who are suspected of having then committed the theft.

In September, police found in the 42-year-old's apartment and seized as material evidence a gold pendant and ring, a sum of money and a vehicle that was suspected of being used during the theft.

Police announcement:

The police operation codenamed "The Key" is being finalized, for the capture of a 36-year-old man wanted as an accomplice in the theft of a large amount of money and jewelry from an apartment, using a copy of the door key.

As a result of continuous checks to apprehend wanted citizens, based on information provided by intelligence, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Commissariat have apprehended and detained citizen AH, 36 years old, resident of Durrës.

This citizen was wanted on 14.09.2024, in connection with the theft of a sum of money and jewelry, in an apartment in neighborhood no. 18, Durrës.

In this case, in September, citizens EK, 33 years old, and FH, 42 years old, both residents of Durrës, were arrested. The 33-year-old, a sanitation worker in this apartment, is suspected of having obtained copies of the door key and given them to the 42-year-old and 36-year-old (brothers), who are suspected of having then committed the theft.

Also, in September, the Police services found in the 42-year-old's apartment and seized as material evidence, a gold pendant and ring, a sum of money and a vehicle that was suspected of being used during the theft.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions, for the criminal offense of "Theft", committed in collaboration.
