The Economic and Cybercrime Unit at the General Directorate of the State Police has uncovered another case of fraud through call center schemes.

This time the operation was carried out against a Call Center in Shkodra.

The illegal activity was investigated to document it, while 5 people were arrested during the operation and over 15 others are being investigated at large.

Police announcement:

The Economic and Cyber ​​Crime Unit at the General Directorate of the State Police has cracked down on another suspected case of fraud through call center schemes, this time in the city of Shkodra.

According to sources, the illegal activity was kept under investigation for several weeks in order to fully document the criminal activity, before the authorities intervened.

During the police operation, five people suspected of being involved in the fraud scheme were arrested, while over 15 other people are being investigated at large.

Authorities are expected to provide further details on how the scheme operated, the damages caused, and the specific charges against the suspects.
