The Strasbourg court has ruled as legal the interception of the chat application EncroChat, which has been used mainly by people involved in the world of crime.
Many countries have taken international action based on conversations broken down by Enchro and Sky.
This decision will also have an impact in Albania, as many investigations have been carried out by SPAK, based on the conversations revealed in France by these applications.
As for the transcripts of the conversations, Strasbourg says they are legal and can be used as evidence.
In Albania, one of the arrested characters, the strategic investor Pëllumb Gjoka, has filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court where he demands the dismissal of SPAK's evidence regarding the EncroChat interceptions.
