Arrest of officials in Cerrik

The court of Elbasan has placed under house arrest the director of the fire department in the Municipality of Cërrik, Artjon Taçi, 36 years old, and the other four persons arrested three days ago for falsifying documents, exercising illegal influence and using the political function in election activities.

In today's session with closed doors, they have been placed under house arrest.

Together with the fire brigade official, Agiano Dinoshi, tax employee, Adnand Xhelili, fire brigade specialist, Alban Shima, OSHEE Cërrik manager, and Armand Gjoka, fire brigade employee, all residents of Cërrik, were also arrested.

The prosecution accuses them of having, in cooperation with each other, given false certificates to business entities that had unpaid obligations in the municipality of Cërrik.

The five arrested persons are also suspected of active participation in the May 14 local elections, at a time when the law prohibits the engagement of administration employees.
