The dead body of a man was found today in the Drin river in Shkodër.

According to preliminary information, the victim is about 40 years old, and was found near the Bahçalek bridge.

The police say that from the preliminary examination of the body, no signs of violence were found. The dead body has been sent to the morgue, awaiting identification and cause of death.

"In the Drin river, near the Bahcallek bridge, the dead body of a 40-year-old citizen, still unidentified, about 175 cm tall, wearing a gray long-sleeved cotton sweater, long black pants was found brown, black Adidas sneakers, with short hair and no beard. From the preliminary examination of the body, no signs of violence were found.

The investigation group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is continuing the work to identify the 40-year-old as well as to clarify the circumstances of the case," the Shkodra police announced.
