The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta appeared in a press conference today, very revolted after the accusations from the Austrian newspaper "Kronen Zeitung", where he presented him as deeply corrupt and that he had lobbied with 700,000 dollars to be part of the inauguration of Donald Trump as president.
But, while the head of state was speaking, he made a mistake by hanging the poet from Kukës, Havzi Nela. Meta stated that Havzi Nela was hanged in 1999 for free speech, that is, in a year when Albania had 9 years since the fall of communism and had brought democracy.
The truth is that Havzi Nela was hanged in the middle of the city of Kukës, on August 10, 1988, at 02:00 in the morning. The final approval of the death sentence was given by the members of the Presidium of the People's Assembly headed by Ramiz Alia
"He will avoid the attention from this stain, which he put on Albania and the Albanians because of his vassality. From the other gentleman who organizes waterings in Europe and across the oceans to keep him here so that he can oppress the Albanians, to block Albania's European integration. "for so many years, for Albania to turn it from another course. But why weren't we in that course that hung Havzi Nela there in the 99th for a free word?" tha Meta.
