The Police Oversight Agency says it has executed the measures for five police officers in Elbasan, accused of corruption and abuse of office.

According to AMP, a four-month investigation resulted in police officers removing speed radar fines for cars, against fees.

The Police Supervision Agency has executed personal security measures, appointed by the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Elbasan, against 5 police officers with duty "Service Corps" at the Urban and Interurban Management Section in DVP Elbasan, suspected of committing criminal offenses "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", "Abuse of office" and "Computer Counterfeiting."

The personal security measure "House Arrest" for employees A. T., 32, E. H., 39, and XH. S., 50, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", "Abuse of office" and "Computer forgery".

Personal insurance measure "Suspension of exercise of a duty or public function" for employees E. K., 33 and N. J., 34, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty".

After the 4-month investigation conducted by AMP with special proactive methods under the direction of the Prosecution, it was achieved to prove with evidence the involvement of these employees in corruptive actions with drivers, who were caught in administrative violations by the radar apparatus of the Road Police.

The investigation was launched following complaints from various citizens to the Police Supervision Agency.
