Students have placed two tombstones in front of the Ministry of Education as a symbolic sign of the emptying of universities. In a peaceful protest, students with flowers in their hands lined up paying "homage" in front of the ministry.

One of the protesters, Gevio Tabaku, said that the two tombstones symbolize the closure of the branches, as a result of the emptying of the universities. He says that in the main universities of the country, main branches are being closed.

"Mathematics, which was the cornerstone of the 'Luigj Gurakuqi' University, is being closed, do you know that the Albanian language at the 'Fan S. Noli' University has only two registrations, the hotel-tourism branch of Durrës is being closed, nobody is worried about physics in University of Tirana. Does this minister wonder that the students are not even preferring the branches.
