Drugs inside bananas

For several days, the National Bureau of Investigation has been carrying out checks on containers coming from Latin America at the port of Durrës.

As can be seen from the photos published by ABC, the investigators are seen checking some boxes taken out of the containers. Sources say the partners reported larger amounts of cocaine than what was seized on November 3 inside boxes of BanaKing bananas imported from Ecuador.

That day, 33.5 kg of cocaine was found, divided into 31 packages, hidden among bananas. The scanner did not detect cocaine inside the boxes, but a thorough search was then carried out.

The captured drug led to the imprisonment of two employees of the scanner at the Port of Durrës, Alban Naziraj and Artur Sevdaraj. Even the administrator of the company, Ziko, Petrit Demishaj, did not escape the arrest. Its president, Trifon Murataj, was declared wanted.
