The escape of the Albanian drug trafficker, Dorian Petoku, who was wanted by the Italian authorities , has ended .

It is known that Petoku was arrested in Dubai  by the Police of the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Guardia di Finanza.

Petoku is reported to have had an important role in transporting large quantities of cocaine from South America, specifically 7 tons from Brazil to Livorno.

Dorian Petoku took refuge in Dubai after escaping in December 2023 from the rehabilitation center in Nola, Naples, where he was transferred with a medical certificate.

Previously, Dorian Petoku was sentenced to 12 years in prison by Italian justice. He was arrested in Albania in 2019, but it took two years for his extradition to Italy.

Petoku was extradited on October 21, 2021 to Italy, but his deportation to Italian prisons lasted only a year, after the court decided to release him by placing him under house arrest.

Who is Dorian Petoku, friend of Fabrizio 'Diabolik' Piscitelli

Raised in Lezhë, Petoku entered the world of arms, drug and human trafficking before arriving in Rome, in Ponte Milvio.

The 34-year-old, who is the cousin of the first Albanian drug boss in Rome, Arben Zogu, over the years gained more and more importance in the world of crime there.

Its importance is immortalized in a photo taken on December 13, 2017 at the 'L'Oliveto' restaurant in Grottaferrata.

The photo shows four men at the table. One of them "Frenchman", an infiltrator, by his side is Salvatore Casamonica and in front of him is Fabrizio "Diabolik" Piscitelli, who was killed on August 7, 2019 in an ambush in the waterworks park.

The main topic of conversation was allegedly a truce in the conflict that had erupted between the Esposito and Spada families.

Not only that, Piscitelli, Casamonica and Petoku were also planning to transport a large amount of drugs from South America. It was about the introduction into Italy of 7 tons of cocaine hidden in the bags of a youth soccer team.
