Helena Kadare was today at the house of Professor Rexhep Qosja in Pristina.
They talked together in the professor's studio and reminisced about all the years they hadn't met.
They remembered their first meeting at the Writers' League around the 1970s.
They laughed with curiosity at that meeting because Professor Qosja was the only man in Albania who was allowed to wear a beard.
Foreign tourists had to shave their beards upon arrival at Tirana Airport, for which there was a special barber.
The two talked about the last lunch they had together in Pristina on the occasion of the Book Fair in 2000, accompanied by sweets from the wife of Professor Qosje, who is no longer alive.
They said that both houses, Qosja and Kadare, are collapsing from the weight of books, they are so overloaded.
Rexhep Qosja is an academic and spiritual leader of love for Albanian and Albanianness.
Helena Kadare is one of the most important Albanian writers and one of the most beautiful minds of this country. After the loss of her husband, the great Albanian writer Ismail Kadare, she wrote and published a book.
The visit to Professor Qosje's house is something more than a publication, it is a human reflection, it is a meeting between great Albanians, who serve the orientation of the nation.
A meeting with many messages and many responsibilities for the future of Albanian values. A meeting that rejoices, that warms, a meeting as a greeting. Better together, better together!
This is what has always united Kadare and Qosja, the belief in unity. National unity as the dream of Ismail Kadare and Rexhep Qosja./ Dritare.net
