A memorial service was held yesterday for the 40th anniversary of the passing of the 19-year-old Albanian woman identified as Myrto , who tragically lost her life due to a cocaine overdose.
Relatives, friends and family of the 19-year-old came together yesterday, remembering the young Myrto amidst tears and great pain.
On her 40th birthday held yesterday, Myrto's family took several photos of their daughter, who appears as an angel in heaven with white wings while wearing a crown on her head.
Remembering the loss of his daughter amidst great pain, Myrto's father, with a broken heart, demands that those responsible for his daughter's death receive the maximum punishment.
"My child didn't run away, they took him away. All the days and nights for us are the same, a hell. We talk to ourselves and wait to see our Myrtula, asleep. Whoever is responsible for the death of my child must be punished with the most severe punishment. Our angel is gone and will never return," said Myrto's father.
It is reported that to this day, Myrto's family is awaiting the response from forensic laboratories that are expected to shed light on the young woman's death.
We recall that on April 17, 2026, the three defendants in the death of the Albanian Myrto in Kefalonia were remanded in custody by court decision, after criminal prosecution was initiated against them, which escalated to murder by omission, referring to articles 299 and 15 of the Criminal Code.
It concerns her 23-year-old boyfriend, the 26-year-old former weightlifter and the 22-year-old of Albanian origin, who were taken out of the back door of the courts, to avoid tensions from relatives and friends./ Protothema
