Ministry of Education: The new academic year 2026-2027 for higher education will begin on October 5th

The Ministry of Education has published the order determining the start and end dates of the 2026–2027 academic year in higher education institutions in the country.

According to the order signed on May 11, 2026 by Minister Mirela Kumbaro, the new academic year in Albanian universities will start on October 5, 2026 and end on September 24, 2027.

The document also provides that public higher education institutions, after completing the registration of winning candidates, send to all branches the "Student Voice", as well as the lists of registered students according to study programs and relevant faculties.

The Secretary General, the General Directorate of Higher Education Development and Scientific Research, the Educational Services Center, and higher education institutions have been tasked with implementing this order.
