Vlora International Airport is coming to life and, as has been publicly stated, this important work for the south is in the final weeks of total completion, but clashes between two joint-stock companies seem to be hindering the works.

An unusual situation is occurring today at the entrance to the airport, where, as reported, representatives of Valon Ademi's company, Behgjet Pacolli's former partner who has 2% of the shares, are not allowing " Mabco " employees to enter the construction site.


As can be seen in the footage, there are State Police officers and private security employees from Valon Ademi's company in the area, while the employees are left at the door unable to start work.


The origin of the conflict is between two joint-stock companies of the company that has the concession contract with the Albanian state, MACBO with 98 percent and 2A Group with 2 percent, based on a contract for the sale of 47 percent of the shares from the largest shareholder to the smallest, something that MACBO does not admit to having happened.


The company “2A Group” claims that in April 2025 it purchased about 47% of the shares of the majority partner Mabco, based on a share purchase agreement. However, Mabco disputes the validity of this agreement, saying that they have not signed any contract.
